Specifications are manufacturer rated, as published on each listing and collected 3 November 2026. Diameter is the filament diameter each listing states.

What the listings tell you, and what they leave out

All five listings state a 1.75mm diameter and a +/- 0.02mm accuracy figure, and all five claim neatly wound spools. Only one of the five states a warranty term: the SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 pack, at 1 year. Two listings state no print speed at all: ELEGOO and YOOPAI. The YOOPAI title names SUNLU while the brand field lists YOOPAI, so confirm the maker before buying.

Treat every speed figure here as the listing’s own claim: the listings give recommended ranges or an upper limit, not a measured result. Where a listing gives no nozzle or bed temperature, this guide says so rather than borrowing a setting from another pack.

Buying guide: choosing the best bulk pla filament

Diameter and accuracy

Every pack here is 1.75mm filament with a stated +/- 0.02mm accuracy, so the first check is that your printer takes 1.75mm. A steady diameter feeds evenly; a spool that varies will jam or under-extrude no matter how good the color looks.

Pack size and colors

Bulk means different things across these packs. The single-color packs hold 4 kg of black, the SUNLU multicolor pack holds 10 kg across 10 colors, and the iSANMATE bundle holds 16 kg across 16 colors. The YOOPAI pack goes the other way: 16 small 250g spools, better for sampling colors than for stocking one workhorse color.

Print settings

Where the listing states settings, use them: SUNLU multicolor lists a nozzle range of 200-230°C and a bed range of 50-65°C at 50-100mm/s, while SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 lists 205-220°C and 50-60°C at 100-300mm/s. The iSANMATE bundle lists 30-300mm/s. ELEGOO and YOOPAI state no speed, so start from your printer’s usual PLA profile and adjust from there.

Matte vs standard PLA

The iSANMATE bundle is matte: the listing says the matte surface hides layer lines naturally, stays non-reflective, and lets supports peel off easily, which suits display pieces and painting work. The ELEGOO pack is glossy, and the other packs do not name a finish, so expect a standard PLA look from them.

Spool size and holders

Check the spool against your holder before buying. The SUNLU multicolor spool measures 8.00 inches in diameter, 2.50 inches wide, with a 2.20 inch hub hole; the SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 spool measures 195mm by 57mm with a 63mm hub hole; the YOOPAI spool measures 140mm by 36mm with a 53mm center hole. YOOPAI notes that Bambu Lab AMS or AMS lite use needs a compatible 250g spool adapter.

Storage

Keep spools dry between prints. Three of these packs arrive vacuum sealed, and the listings for SUNLU PLA+ 2.0, ELEGOO and iSANMATE all describe drying before sealing. Reseal an opened spool when it waits on the shelf, and print in a ventilated space.

Project Match

  • Multicolor models and accent parts: SUNLU PLA 10-Pack, with 10 colors, or YOOPAI PLA+ 16-Pack, with 16 small spools.
  • Functional parts that need toughness: SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 4-Pack or ELEGOO PLA+ 4KG, both PLA+ packs.
  • Matte display pieces, painting work and home decorations: iSANMATE Matte 16KG.
  • High-volume single-color printing: ELEGOO PLA+ 4KG or SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 4-Pack, both black 4 kg packs.
  • Bambu Lab printing: iSANMATE Matte 16KG, developed for Bambu Lab and listed for AMS and AMS lite.

How the scores add up

Each pack is scored on performance, build, value, safety and warranty, with the weights published on our How We Pick page. A spec the listing does not publish scores nothing. No listing here states a safety certification, so every safety score is 0, and only one listing states a warranty term.

Product HQ Score Perf. /35 Build /25 Value /25 Safety /10 Warranty /5
iSANMATE Matte 16KG 9.7 32 21 22 n/a 0
SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 4-Pack 9.6 29 21 18 n/a 2
SUNLU PLA 10-Pack 9.6 28 21 21 n/a 0
ELEGOO PLA+ 4KG 9.5 28 21 18 n/a 0
YOOPAI PLA+ 16-Pack 9.5 27 20 19 n/a 0

Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.

FAQ: lasers and CNC

What is PLA filament good for?

General printing: the SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 listing names high-precision models, functional parts and decorative items, and the YOOPAI listing adds toys, tools and everyday prints. PLA suits makers who want easy printing without exotic materials.

Will these packs fit my FDM printer?

All five state 1.75mm filament for FDM printers, so the filament fits any 1.75mm machine. Check the spool holder instead: the YOOPAI 250g spool needs an adapter for Bambu Lab AMS or AMS lite, and the larger spools need a holder that clears their diameter.

What is the difference between PLA and PLA+?

PLA+ listings claim greater toughness than standard PLA. SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 claims more resistance to brittleness and cracking, and ELEGOO PLA Plus claims improved impact strength and toughness for more robust prints.

Does matte PLA print differently?

The iSANMATE bundle uses matte PLA settings on Bambu Lab printers and generic PLA settings on other printers, per the listing. Its matte surface hides layer lines and stays non-reflective, which suits display pieces over glossy parts.
