About LaserEngraveHQ

LaserEngraveHQ helps people choose laser engravers, laser cutters, desktop CNC routers and the accessories, materials and safety gear around them. Our readers fall into three groups: hobbyists and crafters engraving wood, leather, slate and tumblers at home; side-hustle and Etsy sellers making personalized gifts, signs and cutting boards; and small shops and makerspaces that need more power, bigger beds and machines that keep running.

Most laser listings lead with one big number. A buyer needs different questions answered. Is that wattage optical output or electrical input? Can it cut the material I actually use, or only mark it? How big is the work area once the air assist and rotary are fitted? What does it need around it, from ventilation to an enclosure, before the first job?

What we actually do

We compare machines by the numbers that decide whether they fit the work: laser type and wavelength, optical output power, work area, rated speed, enclosure and safety features, air assist, rotary and camera support, software compatibility, and what the manufacturer says the machine can engrave and cut. We read the warranty terms and the safety statements, and we say plainly who each pick is for and who should skip it.

We are direct about the limits of this. We do not run our own trial workshop, and we do not take physical measurements of products. Our How We Pick page explains exactly what our process involves and what it does not.

What we will not do

  • We do not invent specifications, measurements, results or awards. Every number on this site can be traced to a source.
  • We do not repeat a manufacturer’s marketing claim as a confirmed fact. When a figure comes from a brand, we label it manufacturer rated.
  • We do not present electrical input watts as laser power. When a listing only gives input power, we say so.
  • We do not use fake urgency, countdown timers or “deal ends soon” language.
  • We do not write a roundup where every product is excellent. That is advertising with a different name.

How we are paid

LaserEngraveHQ earns affiliate commissions. When you buy through a link on this site, the retailer may pay us a percentage, at no additional cost to you. That is the business model, and it is why a short disclosure appears near the top of every article and in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Commissions do not decide rankings. No brand can pay to be included, to rank higher, or to have a criticism removed. Our Editorial Policy explains how we keep that line clear.

Who is behind LaserEngraveHQ

LaserEngraveHQ is written and edited by the LaserEngraveHQ Editorial team. The team sets the editorial standards, maintains the HQ Score method and its published weights, decides what gets published, and is responsible for accuracy, sourcing and safety content. We publish under the LaserEngraveHQ name rather than individual bylines.
